Seeing Casa de les Punxes – the so-called House of Spikes because of its pointed turrets – will serve as a wonderful introduction to what lies ahead as it is a modernist masterpiece. Revered architect Josep Puig i Cadafalch, a contemporary of the legendary Antoni Gaudí, designed it. You will also visit Casa Vicens, the first house that Gaudí designed. A four-story Art Nouveau jumble of contrasting colors and patterns, it is beyond striking. How fitting that both projects are in Gràcia, Barcelona’s trendiest most free-thinking neighborhood. Your dining venue, La Huerta GastroClub, is also known for its unusual atmosphere as it resembles a Catalan country house.
