Beschreibung

Browse a collection of rare artifacts excavated almost entirely from the Acropolis and then enjoy a traditional dinner at a restaurant in the nearby Plaka neighborhood. As you approach the Acropolis Museum, you will notice that its design – a blend of modern and classical architecture – mirrors that of the Parthenon, the temple that has dominated the Acropolis since the 5th century B.C. As you meander from floor to floor, the guide will describe the artifacts and their historical significance. They span several time periods, which will reveal how life around the Acropolis changed over the centuries. You may see pieces of the Parthenon’s frieze and parts of the parapet that surrounded the Temple of Athena Nike. Other treasures can be seen below the ground floor through glass panels in the floor. A short walk will bring you to a Plaka restaurant, where you will enjoy a delightful Greek dinner and show.
